I am happy to announce that Saturday, October 27^th marks the launch of the inaugural season of a new and exciting chamber music group– miXt, of which I am a member and Artistic Director. miXt is a versatile, dynamic, and vibrant chamber group comprised of award-winning soloists on the Young Concert Artists roster, performing in a variety of configurations.

 

The opening concert will take place on Saturday at 3pm at the Paramount Theater in Rutland, Vermont.  The concert features a miXt trio.” These dazzling soloists and accomplished chamber musicians of diverse backgrounds inspire audiences with engaging programs”.  The opening concert will include works by Bartok, Puts, Schubert, Novacek, and Schoenfield.

 

The inaugural season of miXt, will focus on trio and duo performances around the country.

MiXt trio participants during 2012-2013 are: clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester; violinists Bella Hristova, Benjamin Beilman; and pianist Ran Dank.

 

I will be joined in the duo by guitarist Robert Belinic, in a program called “Fiesta” with music by Machado, Piazzolla, Albeniz, Cardona, Pixinguinha and Gershwin.

I am very excited to let you know that this coming Sunday, May 6th. I will be performing Copland Concerto and Debussy’s Rhapsody with The Wisconsin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Alexander Platt at the Shattuck Auditorium in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Philharmonic has dedicated over 60 years to bringing exceptional symphonic music and cultural experiences to Waukesha County and surrounding communities. As one of the most seasoned and successful orchestras in southeast Wisconsin, the organization presents five to six subscription concerts annually at various Waukesha County locations, including: Carroll University, the Oconomowoc Arts Center, and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts. The Wisconsin Philharmonic, along with the Friends of Note, also facilitates educational opportunities and scholarship programs for students throughout the area.

I am very looking forward with this first collaboration with the Wisconsin Philharmonic, as well to work again with maestro Platt.

Dear all,

On Tuesday October 11th, I will be giving a recital with pianist Roman Rabinovich and a Master Class at Indiana University in PA.

We’ll offer a very exciting program, starting the concert with Claude Debussy’s Premiere Rhapsodie, followed by the Sonata for clarinet and piano by Camille Saint-Saens, ending the first half with the Concert Piece No. 2 for two clarinets and piano by Felix Mendelssohn, being the guest artist Dr. David Martynuik.

After the intermission we will perform Francis Poulenc’s Clarinet Sonata, and will end the concert with a very exciting and fun piece composed by John Novacek named Four Rags for Two Jons.

The concert will take place at the Gorell Recital Hall, John Sutton Hall, second floor at 8 pm.
